in Delphi 2009 Community Award ::
I've been awarded with a Silver Delphi Helmet - Delphi Legends 2009 Community Award! A big thanks to all who voted.
On October 17, 2009 a poll was posted on the Wings of the Wind blog. The poll presented 7 nominees for the Spirit of Delphi Award 2009. My name was on the list. I am honored to be put on the same list where one can find Peter Below, Jim McKeeth, Neil Moffat and others.
Personally, I voted for Peter Below. It's a shame Peter does not have a web site, as he has provided and still does tons of Delphi snippets and solutions over at the newsgroups, at least for a century. I think Peter deserves the Platinum award.
Since the "Spirit of Delphi Award" was in the past (for the last 10 years) awarded by the Delphi R&D team to people of the Delphi community whose contribution through time was "recognized", and since it seems that a name will be picked up this year also, the mentioned poll/award was renamed to "Delphi Legends 2009 Community Award".
Once again, a big thanks to all who participated in the poll! Here's the original blog post: Delphi Legends 2009 Community Award.

Well CONGRATS!
You must be proud!
@Michael: thanks. Yes!
A most excellent award and very well deserved.
Congratulations!
Čestitam, ide u prave ruke.
Congratulations! I am very happy for you, and I fully support it. I have written software with Delphi for more than a decade now. Still I get stuck sometimes. Surprisingly often I will find what exactly what I need in one of your articles, even when I am not specifically looking in your direction (i.e. just doing a Google search). Well deserved…
OK ! , I`m Very Happy ! , But You

Congratulations, Zarko! That’s great. Your articles, tips etc have been a great help to me numerous times.
Well deserved! ¡Felicitaciones!
Congratulations on the award! I think this site is one of the best. If I’d seen the poll, I would have voted for you also. This is the first place that I come looking when I need to find a way, or find a better way, to do something.
Again, congratulations and thank you!
Congrates Zarko. You deserve this.
Zarko, I’ve started learning delphi aside from my main job (oracle), doing some interesting stuff to improve tedious tasks (and having the funny thing of n ot to install nothing apart from the exe
) and I deserve a lot to you and your article (WINDOWS API included: they are an ocean!).
So, congratulations!
Alessandro
