function IsPathDelimiter(const S: string; Index: Integer): boolean;
Returns True if a specified character in a string is the backslash (\) character.
The Index parameter specifies the position of the backslash character insdie the S. To test for more characters than just the backslash character, use IsDelimiter.

b : boolean;
s:='c:\program files\apps\data\';
b:= IsPathDelimiter(Copy(s,Length(s),1), 1);
//b=True the last character is \
