about - by Carl
I have been married to the same wonderful woman for almost 35 years. I have two married sons and one granddaughter. I am retired high school chemistry and computer science teacher. My work ethic is:

If it is worth doing, it worth doing right. If you can't find time to do it right, how are you ever going to find the time to do it over. -unknown author

I wrote my first computer program in 1964 using Hollorith punch cards in Fortran. My first telecommunication experience was at 110baud, now called bps. That was only 10 characters per second. A far cry from the 3.0MHz machine and cable modem on my desk now. I received an MS from Stony Brook University in Computer Science in 1982. As a part time ( i.e. 90 hrs/wk ) programmer I specialized in data acquisition and hardware interfacing, using many assembly languages, C, C#, and my favorite: Delphi. I have taught several graduate and undergraduate computer courses. Currently I am working on home automation using the X-10 protocol to control lights, cameras, and other appliances. I am much more than a freelance Delphi programmer. My favorite label is: good friend. I raised my children by this motto:

To have a friend you must be a friend. -unknown author
