The Opera browser has a feature called Speed Dial which is basically a grid of your 9 (or more) favorite web sites presented using thumbnails instead of the blank page you get when you add a new tab.
How about having an application to mimic Opera's Speed Dial - and launch your favorite web sites with a single mouse click?
A great idea for the Fancy Delphi Application Contest ;-)
Speed Dial for Internet
The idea for "Speed Dial for Internet" comes from the fact that most Internet users only visit a handful of sites on a regular basis, why not make those sites easier to access? When you click on an "empty" square, a little input form will open where you need to enter a site URL. A new window will open and will go to the web site, take a screenshot, and then replace the square window with the screenshot and the site title. If you click the square with the screenshot it will open the browser and go to the URL of the web site, and the application will minimize. If you click the red X button it will delete the picture from the square, and reset the whole square to its initial state.
