My name is George Merriman. I'm an itinerant programmer from Brooklyn, currently plying my trade in the dusty canyons of Manhattan. Of late I've been doing Delphi and C# work in the media business, but I'm an unreconstructed VMS bigot at heart. My first program for pay was for a DEC PDP-8, so you can see that I've seen a few things come and go in my time. I do a little welding on the side, when I can get the work, and for fun, I fix antique subway cars for the New York Transit Authority.
